The Coolest New Color in Watch Dials? Salmon!

Call it a comeback.

Not since the art deco era has the vintage-looking dial color known as salmon graced so many watch faces. The golden shade of pink, whether it’s tinged with peach or burnt copper, is a nod to the past but also, perhaps, a gesture to the increasingly genderless future: Neither masculine nor feminine, the hue—which appeared on new timepieces this spring from a range of brands, including Chopard, H. Moser & Cie, and Vacheron Constantin—is at once upscale, comforting, and refreshingly neutral.
